"Aunt Rosie,Brenda and Billy you are in our thoughts and prayers I was so saddened to hear of Uncle Francis passing and the pain and discomfort he had been going through I know you all will dearly miss him but he is in a much better place looking down and smiling over you and your family for all of the love you shared with him while he was alive and especially in his final hours. I remember as a young teenager getting my first car from Uncle Matthew it was on a farm and full of chickens it hadn't been run in ages somehow Uncle Francis ,dad and Uncle Matthew got it running Uncle Francis got tires for me and I was in heaven in my 1948 Plymouth. I know I didn't spend as much time with Uncle Francis as I did with aunt Rosie but I do remember all the times we visited and what a character Uncle Francis was, always playing pranks on us and spending time with us. I will always remember those good times and my deepest sympathy from my family to yours. Love Denny,Sandy,Cheryl and family,Deborah and family, Kimberly and family, Tammy and family and Bryan and family"

"Aunt Rosie, Brenda and family. Just wanted to tell you that I do so remember the years so long ago that mom, dad, denny and I use to visit with you and Uncle Francis at your home. We had so much fun running around and playing and Aunt Rosie you would always offer us fried chicken or whatever you had cooking. Although it has been years, those memories we keep in our hearts forever, and you and your family will be in my heart forever. Although I will not be able to be there for the funeral, all of you will be in my thoughts and prayers on that glorious day that Uncle Frances joins my dad, Earl and his brother Norris in their new peaceful home in heaven together. God bless you all. Love, Susie (Suite) Edvardsen"

"Rosie, Billy and Brenda I was so saddened yesterday when Linda called me to let me know that dear, sweet Francis had passed away. It just did not seem real to me, Francis was larger than life and just seemed invincible. Louise and I loved every visit we made to come see you in your home. Francis was so hospitable, always wanting to serve us food and drink or take us out to eat. There was never a time I left your home empty handed. Francis always had something he wanted to share with me. The times I spent with your family were always fun, Louise and I would leave with a smile on our faces...thinking about the next time we would come to St Mary's County. We can never know the sadness you feel, but we do know that your hearts feel lonesome for the man you have loved and will miss sorely. My heart goes out to all of you. God bless ! I will see you all Wednesday evening. My love and prayers, Shauna"

"Dear Abell Family, I'm truly sorry to hear of the loss of such a wonderful man. I got to know Francis at Aunt Georgia's playing pitch. He was my partner a time or two and we all coined the term "footney" from him. May you find peace in that he no longer has to suffer."

"Uncle Francis, We're going to miss you terribly! I have wonderful memories visiting your home as a little girl and doing stuff with all my cousins on the farm. You then welcomed my husband and kids just as well. You always made me laugh and those precious moments in my past are part of who I am today. You and Aunt Rosie always made us feel so warm and welcomed. My Mom, Louise and Dad, Louie loved you dearly. May God bless you on your new journey and grant your family the peace and comfort they need now. Love to all of you Aunt Rosie, Bren, Billy, Mike, and Johnny. We'll be by your side, Louise, Linda, Rick, Dominic and Christina"
