| Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at 9:30 AM in St. John's Catholic Church, St. John's Road, Hollywood, MD with Father Ray Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. | |

| Ann Loretta Goldsborough, 88, of Hollywood, MD, died April 3, 2004 in Solomons Nursing Center in Solomons, MD. Born September 16, 1915 in Hollywood, she was the daughter of the late Francis Roger and Mary Gertrude Hayden. She was the wife of the late Charles Delmas Goldsborough, who she married on April 4, 1934 and who died on November 13, 1970. She was the mother of Thomas Edward Goldsborough of Mechanicsville and Joseph Charles Goldsborough, Francis Robert Goldsborough and Dorothy Ann Lopitz, all of Hollywood. Mrs. Goldsborough was sister to Thomas Edward Hayden, Mary Gertrude Dean and Joseph Aloysius Hayden, all of Hollywood and the late Francis Roger Hayden and Robert Wells Hayden. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was a lifelong St. Mary's County resident and General Contractor for Goldsborough Construction until her retirement in 1981. Loretta enjoyed watching her children play softball and shoot pool. She also loved to play bingo and was well known for her catering. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at 7:00 PM, in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5 - 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at 9:30 AM in St. John's Catholic Church with Father Ray Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Goldsborough will be John Douglas Ritchie, Richard Casey Quade, Joseph Wayne Goldsborough, James Raymond Goldsborough, Craig Edward Goldsborough and Christopher Michael Quade.
